The new Womanition magazine hit the stands and this is the first year that Calgary has it's very own magazine featuring local women entrepreneurs!

I had the honour of photographing the ladies for their feature in Womanition Magazine Calgary, and this is one of them.

Vera is an amazing hair and makeup artist who is responsible for most of the gorgeous hair and makeup that you will see in the magazine.

What is your'WHY'? Why do you do what you do?

My profession is what allows me to constantly meet and get to know amazing individuals.

Having my own business in the beauty industry has allowed me to build a community full of wonderful people that all have one place in common, my studio.

I do what i do because I am able to express myself through my art and through communication with those around me.

What is your product/service?

Hairdressing and makeup artistry at my home location as well as travel for special events.

What is your 'SECRET SAUCE'?

I treat every single client of mine as a friend.

Although it’s so simple it is such a profound ingredient in producing my work.

Every client leaves happy because I am there to listen, to communicate, and to provide the best service they’ve ever received.

Coming to get your hair done at my studio is a physical treatment for your hair but it will also have felt like a spiritual treatment once the appointment is over.

I listen to everyone’s needs and I’m there to talk.

I love a client who is willing to go above and beyond for themselves.

Although it may not seem important, caring for your hair is a part of caring for yourself.

Clients getting regular treatments and cuts to feel their absolute best makes my job all the better!
